Welcome
Hi! I’m Margot, better known as Joyfully Retired. I’m both a Bookworm and a Foodie. This challenge is all about combining both of those attributes and persuading others to do the same. Join me as we explore the world of good food writing.
Definition of a Food Book
A food book is a book which is centered around food and/or drinks. That could be a cookbook, a food biography or memoir, a non-fiction book focused around a specific food, wine, chef or restaurant. Also allowed is a fictional story in which food plays a major role.- One of my favorite books is Garlic and Sapphires by Ruth Reichl in which she tells about her experience as a food critic for the NY Times. I consider that a food book.
- Use your own judgement. No one will be judged harshly. This is meant to be fun. The goal is to read some of the best food writing available and share that with fellow Foodies.
